Behind The Scenes: SS20 Photo Shoot

One for the memory book! Our first ever social distanced photo shoot.

Being able to finally shoot this collection felt amazing, after being at home for so long to be able to do what we love doing again and on one of the most glorious days, I couldn't have been more thankful.

We were originally due to shoot the day lockdown in the UK began. So we were incredibly late to launch and unfortunately with only half of our stock as our makers have not been able to produce due to lockdowns in Italy and Turkey where they are based.

The photo shoot took place a couple of miles down the road from our offices in Solihull at Knowle hall. We stumbled across the location on an internet search and couldn't believe it was on our own doorstep and didn't even know about it!

Visiting to check it out before the shoot I fell in love, its my dream home in the most dreamy location and perfect for what were looking for for this shoot.

Beautiful weather for shoot day!

We were so blessed with the weather on the day- 24 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Only problem was it did make wearing masks, with sunglasses, not only look crazy but a little hot! A totally new experience

We all signed contracts on the morning, checking our temperatures, washing our hands regularly, keeping 2 meters apart (except the stylist and make up artist with the model who wore the correct PPE) and set up viewing stations on our own personal phones. A totally new experience for all of us, it took a little getting used to but all in all it worked well under the circumstances and I hope you all agree that the images we managed to create are lovely.

Its a very wearable new collection, with lots of colourful fun pieces and timeless gold. We really wanted to give the feel of those long hot afternoons of late summer, when you are tanned, relaxed and lazing around in a different dress each day.

Thats where the wardrobe came in, lets face it we have so many dresses how could we not use our own wardrobes! Combining mine, Marianna's and Sally's (a very good friend of ours - Marianna and Sally went to school together as well as travelling but thats a whole other story.. she is a stylist too!) own wardrobes we set about styling the model.

We were working with the MOST amazing team again, I love working with the photographer Michelle Beatty she has shot the last 4 campaigns for us which says everything, we love her work and she is a pleasure to work with.
