I kept hearing great things about Sani Resort in Greece. Friends who go back year after year to enjoy the ease of a resort family holiday, and after hiring villas for the past few years (supermarket food shopping and making your own bed on holiday- hmmmmm) I was in need of a bit of pampering. At Sani they certainly know how to do that.
Sani resort is a family-owned ecological reserve spreading over a whole peninsular of crystal clear waters and pine forests for 1000 acres. There are 5 hotels, all belonging to the Sani brand, and a Marina full of restaurants and shops. The daily timetable is jam packed full of things to do, from parent and child yoga classes to archery, and the kids were happy enough to spend some time the kids club while we enjoyed one of the adult only restaurants.
My daughter took part in the daily dance academy and performed in a Disney show that takes place weekly in the outdoor theatre- needless to say she was a happy bunny! The food was delicious, we especially liked Pines at Sani Club and the chic beachside restaurant Ammos. The staff at the resort are fabulous- nothing is too much trouble for them, they tried and succeeded in making our stay as relaxing as possible - even for my very demanding husband!
Now for my favourite part of any holiday- shopping! I love to explore local boutiques offering home grown talent wherever I go. As a huge fan of Greek brand Zeus and Dione (I have always been interested in Greek mythology so the name caught my eye- then after purchasing my first piece I was hooked on the quality) I knew I would love what other Greek designers had to offer. Zeus and Dione design pieces fit for goddesses, and I had visions of floating down for breakfast next to the Aegean Sea in one of their creations. They use the best quality silks and their clothing is flattering and luxurious. The hotel boutique Apoella was totally gorgeous- full of beautiful pieces made by Greek designers. The store is beautifully merchandised and very inviting.
They, of course, stocked Zeus and Dione, but while I was there I discovered Llia Eugenie and Ancient Kallos who design stunning resort wear. I certainly think Greek designers are my new go to for all resort wear, there is something about their quality and design that is a good fit for me and I certainly enjoyed being surrounded by all things Grecian in their beautiful boutique.
Complimented perfectly with all my Soru Jewellery pieces and favourite monogrammed bag from McHugh Lifestyle, it was a match made in mythical heaven!
