On the 10th October Soru turns 8! It's been another busy year at Soru HQ, and probably one of our most challenging with the pandemic and Brexit to navigate through. January saw the reality of how Brexit will effect our business, having customers all over Europe and our jewellery makers based in Italy, it certainly has been a task. Our main priority was ensuring that it causes minimal hassle and expense for our European customers, which we have managed to achieve.

It's been a year of change for Soru too, we have expanded the team in our Customer Services and Operations Department, and have taken on a creative Marketing and Design Manager who has breathed a new lease of life into our website and mailers. We also have a new furry friend that has joined the team... little Teddy the Cavapoo puppy! He comes to work with me everyday and relishes all the cuddles he gets from the team.

With travel on hold for yet another year, our dreams of doing another photoshoot in Italy have been shelved, hopefully by our 9th Birthday we will have fulfilled our goal of doing a campaign in Sicily. But, for now, we have made the best of what we have here. Along with a couple of studio shoots we did another shoot at Umberslade Estate- a beautiful countryside location on our doorsteps. A highlight for us was watching the amazing video from the shoot, one of our best to date.

We created a further 2 new collections with Laura Wills, The Fashion Bug Blog . We always enjoy this experience because we are working to Laura's vision and she loves to inject bold pieces into her every day style, not one to shy away from extravagance, this makes the whole process a lot of fun.

As the year draws to it's last few months it's all go here at Soru, getting ready for our busiest time- Black Friday and the Christmas chaos! It's been a fulfilling year so far, creating jewellery that we love, and that we hope you love too.

 We are also offering a special promotion to all of our wonderful customers for 2 days over our birthday.  We thank each and every one of you for your support over the last 8 years.

Our birthday falls on World Homeless Day. Last year we donated £7,273 to Lets Feed Brum, a wonderful local charity that helps homeless people. This year we will make another donation, we will be donating 10% of all sales through our birthday promotion to Lets Feed Brum to help give back to the wonderful community around us.
