Our 5th collection in collaboration with Laura Wills, AKA The Fashion Bug Blog, for autumn/winter 2021 has launched!
We shot this campaign at the same time that we shot the spring/summer campaign. The location we chose had a pool outside for the summer shoot and inside was full of interesting antiques and frescos on the walls; the perfect setting for our sumptuous 90's-style winter shoot.
The setting for our shoot
Inspired by the supers of the 90's, we designed a collection together that felt nostalgic of that era. Our starting point for inspiration was a cover image from Vogue in 1988, a source of inspiration to us for many years. It features model Michaela Bercu wearing an iconic cross embellished jacket by designer Christian Lacroix, a look that became eponymous with the brand.

Being obsessed with Madonna in our teens has also influenced our of love of bold jewellery styles, stacking and gem encrusted crosses. We tend to gravitate towards baroque and ornate, so working with Laura is a good fit because she has the same passion for statement pieces that we do.

Laura brought a selection of clothing perfect for the 90's vibe and we choose the final outfits on the day. Jessica Kell kept the hair and make-up simple as the jewellery and wardrobe were quite bold. Photographer Michelle Beatty framed the images with the scrolled arms of the antique furniture and glimpses of the wall frescos in the background.
The team at work
When we think of the 90's, it would be impossible not think of the original supermodels, the glamour and fun they radiated, their powerful stomps down the catwalks. We thought it fitting to name our pieces after some of these strong and inspirational beauties.

The new collection features 10 pieces. Baroque style cross earrings, chunky gold chains, chequered black enamel hoops and black and white cocktail rings sit along side more delicate clover pieces with back crystals. Using a mainly monochrome palate, this collection is very different from the brightly coloured and rainbow pieces we have created with Laura in the past. We hope you love the power 90's vibe that these pieces conjure.
