I always love to look back over the year, reflect on happenings and plan for the future. New Year is a perfect time for this.

2022 was a strange year in all honesty. The world opened up again after all the Covid restrictions, however the cost of living increased dramatically and there is a cloud of recession looming over us which, as a small business, is concerning.

But we continue to do what we love and 2022 saw some amazing milestones for us.

One of our proudest moments was launching a brand new product category... Jewellery Storage! We had been working on these designs for such a long time now, so to see them come to life was amazing. 2 ceramic dishes and 2 jewellery trays. We worked with the talented sister duo Kinship Press on the illustrations featured. You will also see these illustrations throughout our newly updated website, as well as new stationary and packaging (we have been busy this year!).

Talking of great collaborations, we had the pleasure of working with Arielle Charnas of Something Navy, launching together 5 styles like nothing we have ever done before! These bold, vintage-feel pieces all had Arielle's signature chic vibe. It was a dream for us to work together with this amazing New York-based brand and discover new followers and customers from across the pond. You can see the entire collection here.

2022 was the year we finally made it all to Sicily as a family. This was a truly special trip for us and one that will stay with me and my daughter forever. You can read all about it on our blog post here.

I can't really round the year off without mentioning that the Princess of Wales chose our ruby earrings as part of her look to promote the 2022 Royal Christmas Carol Concert. It's honestly hard to put into words how proud and happy we are to see such an inspirational lady wearing our designs. There was a certain buzz around the office on that day! You can find those very earrings here.

With such a special ending to the year, I can only be excited for 2023 and what the new year has to bring. I know we are working on some exciting new styles which we cannot wait to reveal to you, potential exciting new collaborations and our first ever event! 

And another thing... expect a big party in 2023 from us.... we turned 9 years old this year, so next year is the BIG 10! Soru will turn 10 years old on the 10th of the 10th 2023. And we intend to CELEBRATE :-)
