We shot this campaign at the same time that we shot the spring/summer campaign. The location we chose had a pool outside for the summer shoot and inside was full of interesting antiques and frescos on the walls; the perfect setting for our sumptuous 90's-style winter shoot. Inspired by the supers of the 90's, we designed a collection together that felt nostalgic of that era. Our starting point for inspiration was a cover image from Vogue in 1988, a source of inspiration to us for many years. It features model Michaela Bercu wearing an iconic cross embellished jacket by designer Christian Lacroix, a look that became eponymous with the brand.

We all love the 80's vibe of chunky jewellery, she wanted to create some large studs that were chic and modern along with chunky gold earrings to make a statement and some beautiful ornate crosses. Laura also wanted a few smaller pieces crafted in solid gold that she can wear all the time. Now a pool was going to be involved the vibe we wanted for this shoot become apparent, and Slim Aaron's famous images became a firm fixture on our moodboard and the main source of inspiration for this shoot. This glamorous, but laid back poolside vibe suited Laura's personal style perfectly and she had a wardrobe full of dresses and swimwear that were made to be worn on this shoot.

Working with Laura Wills from The Fashion Bug Blog is always a joy. This is our 3rd collaboration together and Laura really wanted to keep the fun element in all her chosen designs, incorporating more pearls, more rainbow and this time more pink! We thought shooting in a pastel filled fun environment like an ice cream parlour would be perfect and settled on DYCE on James Street in London. DYCE's decor is full of pastel coloured fun furniture, perspex balls and candy stations.
